Everyone's favourite Chaser, Anne Hegerty, has revealed she was nearly suspended by ITV bosses after sharing an expletive-filled post on Twitter.

During an appearance on Lorraine with Christine Lampard – who was filling in for Lorraine Kelly – the 60-year-old opened up about the threat.

"I tweeted a tweet last month, it got 25,000 likes, before ITV ordered me to take it down and threatened me with suspension," Anne said.

She continued: "So I took it down. Sometimes you don’t always know what’s appropriate or what people will find appropriate or not."

During the appearance, Anne also discussed her active battle against online trolls.
