Two of the new cases are nurses at Waitakere Hospital and are linked to the St Margaret's Hospital & Rest Home in Auckland cluster.

Today's third case is someone who had returned from overseas and so is classed as an imported case.

The death toll remains at 21, including 12 from the Rosewood cluster.

The number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 is up to 1,386 - up 15 on yesterday's number.

This means 93 per cent of all confirmed and probable cases are now recovered.

Cabinet will decide today whether the country is ready to move to alert level 2, based on the advice of Director-General of Health Ashley Bloomfield.

Bloomfield said on Friday he would need the latest data before providing advice, but for the moment the signs were good and there was still no indication of widespread community transmission.
