After more than 50 years in the entertainment industry, Sir Elton John has done it all... including teaming up with Marmite, not once but twice!

The legendary songwriter is "spreading love" with the release of his own limited-edition Marmite once again - and it’s all for an important cause.

Every jar of his unique yeast-based spread will see a donation go to The Elton John AIDS Foundation, to support its mission to end AIDS by 2030.

This year the jar celebrates the 50th anniversary of the ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ album, and will also mark the start of a three-year, $1 million partnership between Marmite and The Elton John AIDS Foundation, through to 2025.

The unique 250g jar’s label is inspired by the 1973 album cover and features Elton stepping onto a ‘Yellow Brick Road’ wearing a pink bomber jacket embroidered with his name.

Speaking about the surprise collab last year, the singer said, "Whether it's through the work of my foundation or connecting with my fans on the road, I've always been about spreading love over hate, and I’m happy to do just that with my limited-edition Marmite jar."

It's no secret that Elton is a Marmite lover, back in 2021 eagled-eyed fans spotted an impressive Marmite collection in the background of his birthday snaps, which led to the beginning of the collaboration between two British icons.

The 2022 run of 'Rocket Man' jars sold out in only a couple of weeks.

Unfortunately for us Kiwis, the jars are only available to buy in Sainsbury’s stores across the UK.

The Elton John AIDS Foundation was launched in 1992 and has since raised over $525 million and funded projects in over 90 countries.

Since its inception, the Foundation has reached over 100 million people, with HIV/AIDS education, prevention, treatment and support.
