Idris Elba reveals he's eyeing up a musical collaboration with Adele

Over the weekend, movie star Idris Elba revealed his ­showbiz dream ...

And while you're probably thinking his dream is to become the next James Bond, he actually has his heart set on a duet with Adele.

The 49-year-old actor - who also performs as a DJ with the moniker Big Driis - told The Mirror he hopes to work with Adele further down the line in his career.

"If one day I make a record and Adele says, 'I kind of like it,' I will definitely build up the courage and say, 'Hey, Adele, you wanna do a collab?'" he said.

"I think I have got to earn some more stripes before that happens."

The pair met last month when Elba presented the 'Hello' hitmaker with the Album Of The Year award at the BRIT Awards — one of three prizes she won on the night.

And it seems Adele is as much of a fan of Elba as he is of her, noting last year that she would love to see the long-standing rumours come true of him replacing Daniel Craig as the next James Bond.
