The seemingly-unlikely friendship of John Travolta and Tommy Lee has gone to a place no one ever expected ... the kitchen.

And it turns out Lee's peanut butter chocolate chip cookies are the one Travolta wants.

The Mötley Crüe drummer outed himself as quite the baker during the week when his pal Travolta asked for a cookie recipe.

Sharing a now-viral video of their hilarious text thread, the beloved Grease star asked: "Tommy can you send me that peanut butter Chico chip cookie recipe that you have."

To which the rocker responded: "Hahahah ok! Gimme a sec to find."

Paired with a photo of his treats in the oven, Travolta joked: "You didn't know I was Johnny Crocker."

The 67-year-old star then captured himself enjoying the results of his baking, washed down with a glass of lemonade.

"Who would have thought that two superstars would spend their Wednesday nights making brownies and cookies with fresh lemonade," he quipped.

Lee replied saying: "Oh my God, buddy. My wife and I were just saying the exact same thing. I'm like, 'Who's sitting around on a Wednesday night? I go, 'Could you imagine if people knew Tommy and John are baking.' What happened?"

The video has since received over 1.7 million views.

The easy-to-make recipe is:

Ingredients:
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup of chocolate chips

Method:

  1. Simply mix the ingredients in a bowl and well combined.
  2. Divide the cookie dough mixture into twelves and place them on a baking tray.
  3. Bake at 180° F for 8-10 minutes. The cookies should be full-formed, warm and chewy once they’re taken out of the oven.
