After months spent in lockdown in the UK, Kate Middleton ventured out this week to London's Battersea Park to speak to families about parent-to-parent support programs.

But for royal watchers, the real star of the show wasn't the Duchess of Cambridge herself, but her new gold necklace.

A lover of sentimental jewellery, the mother-of-three debuted a dainty gold necklace featuring three individual discs.

Upon closer inspection, the circular charms are each engraved with a tiny 'G', 'C' and 'L' - a sweet nod to her three children Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five, and Prince Louis, two.

The 38-year-old layered the meaningful piece with another necklace by Welsh designer Hayley Jones.

The accessories complemented her square-neck top with puff sleeves, white sneakers and rose-hued trousers.
