While Meghan Markle is no stranger to a Hollywood premiere, for the first time ever today she was joined by husband Prince Harry as they made their red carpet debut at the premiere of Disney's The Lion King in London.

The new parents left baby Archie at home to attend the live-action remake of the 1994 animation film - which stars Beyoncé as the voice of Nala and Donald Glover as the voice of Simba - in support of Harry’s ongoing conservation work and his service on behalf of communities near endangered wildlife in Africa.

The 37-year-old former actress was glowing in a black Jason Wu dress with a semi-sheer top and sleeves.

Wearing minimal makeup and with her hair pulled back into a bun, she finished off her look with Aquazzura heels and a Gucci clutch.

At the premiere, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex met some of the cast and crew before watching the film.

Caught on camera, Beyoncé gushed over baby Archie as she met the royal couple, telling Meghan: "We love you guys. Your baby is so beautiful."

During their chat, Beyoncé's husband Jay Z offered his congratulations and wished the new parents well whilst Harry asked about the couple's two-year-old twins Sir and Rumi Carter.

Jay Z even had some advice for the new parents, adding: "The best advice I can give you, always find some time for yourself."

It has been a busy week for the royal mum.

Over the weekend, Meghan attended the Ladies’ Singles Final at Wimbledon with sister-in-law Kate Middleton to watch her close friend Serena Williams take on Romania's Simona Halep.

Earlier in week, the Duchess also made a surprise appearance to cheer on her husband as he competed in the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day on Wednesday.

Meghan was spotted carrying her 2-month-old son, Archie Harrison.
