It's hard to believe but it has already been one year since Princess Beatrice tied the knot with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

And to celebrate their anniversary, the property developer took to social media to share a heartfelt note for his wife.

Alongside a photo of him with the 32-year-old mum-to-be, Edoardo wrote: "I can't believe it has been 1 year. Every second of every day since has been so full of joy, happiness, laughter and love.

"You are the kindest, loveliest and most beautiful person in the world. Thank you my darling for every second."

In the photograph, Beatrice can be seen smiling in a pair of sunglasses while posing with Edoardo, 38.

Beatrice and Edoardo wed in a scaled-down ceremony attended by only close family and friends, including Beatrice's grandparents Queen Elizabeth and the late Prince Philip, on July 17, 2020 at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge Windsor.

They cancelled their original wedding plans set for May 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

They will also be welcoming their first child this spring.

It will be the second grandchild for the Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, after the birth of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's son August in February.

Edoardo, who is the CEO and founder of a property development and interior design company, already has a five-year-old son Christopher Woolf (affectionately known as Wolfie), from his previous relationship with American architect Dara Huang.
