We've got chills ... and they're multiplying.

Forty-three years after the hugely popular musical first hit theatres, we were treated to the news Grease was set to get another prequel.

Last year, Paramount+ gave the green light to a 10-episode series, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies.

And now the streaming service has finally dropped the first teaser trailer for the show.

"Witness the rise of the original girl gang," the teaser trailer says as Rydell High’s students sing through the halls.

The prequel features all new characters with Marisa Davila as Jane Facciano, Cheyenne Isabel Wells as Olivia Valdovinos, Ari Notartomaso as Cynthia Zdunowski and Tricia Fukuhara as Nancy Nakagawa.

Additional cast includes Shanel Bailey as Hazel, Madison Thompson as Susan, Johnathan Nieves as Richie, Jason Schmidt as Buddy, Maxwell Whittington-Cooper as Wally, and Jackie Hoffman as Assistant Principal McGee.

The new musical comedy series will be set at Rydell High in 1954, four years prior to the events of Grease.

"Before rock 'n' roll ruled, before the T-Birds were the coolest in the school, four fed-up, outcast girls dare to have fun on their own terms, sparking a moral panic that will change Rydell High forever," the show's description reads.

In the 1978 classic film, the Pink Ladies; Rizzo, Frenchy, Jan, and Marty - whose early days will be highlighted in the new series - were played by Stockard Channing, Didi Conn, Jamie Donnelly, and Dinah Manoff.

The hour-long episodes will be written by Annabel Oakes, who says "fans of the original should be happy."

"We call Grease the mothership and we always are talking about how we have to pay homage and respect the mothership."

As of yet, there is no mention if any of the original cast members will make an appearance in the prequels.

The original musical series premieres on April 6 exclusively on Paramount+.
