Tom Walsh has won New Zealand's 16th medal at Tokyo Olympics

Tom Walsh has won New Zealand's 16th medal of the Tokyo Olympics after claiming bronze in the men's shot put today.

USA's Ryan Crouser claimed the gold with a monster throw of 22.93, while USA's Joe Kovacs won silver with 22.65.

Winning a medal at two consecutive Olympics, Walsh won bronze with a throw of 22.17.

Today's medal adds to Walsh's bronze from Rio de Janeiro 2016.

Meanwhile, fellow Kiwi Jacko Gill registered 20.71, finishing in ninth in the final.
