Kensington Palace release a never-before-seen photo of Prince George as he turns five!

Where have all those years gone?

We still remember the day the future king made his public debut in front of the world’s media, as his proud parents cradled the newborn in a white merino wool shawl, standing on the steps of the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital in London.

In celebration of his birthday milestone, the palace has released a never-before-seen of their first born ... and it is super sweet!

Pictured looking happy and confident, the photograph - which was taken by Matt Holyoak, one of the world’s leading portrait photographers - was captured after Prince Louis' christening earlier this month.

And surprisingly, royal fans can't get over how much George looks like his grandad ... Michael Middleton.

The young royal, who wants to be a pilot, is currently celebrating his birthday on the Caribbean island of Mustique.

The family left London on Monday and have been joined by grandparents Carole and Michael Middleton, and aunt Pippa and her husband James Matthews.
