We're throwing it back to 1979, to when brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb performed night after night to adoring crowds across America as part of their The Spirits Having Flown Tour.

With a film crew following them for The Bee Gees TV Special, which was broadcast on NBC after the tour came to a close in Miami, one moment in particular left fans swooning.

Putting down his guitar and taking the microphone in his hands, Barry started belting out a tenderly soulful rendition of 'Words' aimed at just one woman: Linda Gray.

Barry can be seen serenading his beautiful wife, who was holding their son Stephen from in the crowd, throughout the performance.

Accompanied by only a piano, the entire performance shows off his powerful vocal range.

In 2020 Barry and Linda celebrated their gold anniversary, fifty years after originally tying the knot in 1970 three years after they met.
