Pippa Middleton has announced her engagement to hedge fund beau James Matthews following a proposal that left the Duchess of Cambridge's sister "completely surprised.

While attending the Frost Summer party held in air of the British Heart Foundation, the Duchess of Cambridge's sister kept her left hand hidden in every photo.

She did everything in her power to deny onlookers the chance to spot whether she had a new piece of jewellery on her left hand however she has since confirmed her her millionaire beau James Matthew, had popped the question - and she said 'yes'.
