After their royal wedding ceremony in front of the world, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle privately danced the night away with 200 of their wedding guests at Frogmore House inside Windsor Castle in May 2018.

But there was still one more wedding tradition royal fans wanted to know all the details about - which was the 'first dance'.

Now their royal DJ, Idris Elba, has revealed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex selected an up-beat '80s hit for the special moment.

And that song was none other than 'I Want to Dance With Somebody' by Whitney Houston!

In an interview with Radio 1Xtra, Idris also revealed the 37-year-old former actress was in charge of hand selecting the songs for the royal party.

And the song has a special meaning for the bride - in 2016, Meghan had referred to the tune as her “happy song” during an interview.

While guests let their hair down, they were also entertained by a 12-piece jazz band from the deep south and James Corden as the MC.

The Late Late Show host - who has been seen on boozy nights out with Harry in the past - reportedly set up a dance-off between the then-groom, Prince William and their father Prince Charles.

And it didn't take long for the bride, her mother Doria Ragland, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice to be up on their feet heating up the competition.
