The Queen's granddaughter Zara Tindall is pregnant.

The exciting baby news was revealed by her husband, former rugby player Mike Tindall.

This will be the third child for the royal couple, who married in 2011 and have daughters Mia Grace Tindall, six, and Lena Elizabeth Tindall, two, together.

The news was revealed on Mike's podcast, where he noted that he and Zara are being cautious, having suffered two miscarriages previously.

"It's been a good week for me, had a little scan last week - third Tindall on its way," Mike announced the podcast, The Good, The Bad & The Rugby.

"I'd like a boy this time, I've got two girls, I would like a boy. I'll love it whether a boy or a girl - but please be a boy."

"We're not sure what to do; Covi or Covina - I don't know where to go with names," he added jokingly.

"Z is very good, always careful because of things that have happened in the past, and really looking forward to it," he explained.

A source close to the couple has revealed that Zara is around four months pregnant, noting that "they are absolutely delighted to be able to share this news."

A spokesman for Buckingham Palace said that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were both "delighted" by their granddaughter's baby news.

Congratulations Zara and Mike!
