Britney Spears is making her much-anticipated comeback with the help of one of the world's biggest music legends ...

The 40-year-old met Elton John in Beverly Hills last week to record a new remix of his iconic 1971 hit 'Tiny Dancer!'

According to Page Six, Universal Music will release the inevitable hit in August.

"This was Elton's idea and Britney is a huge fan," a music industry insider told the outlet.

"They have recorded a remix of 'Tiny Dancer' as a full duet — and it is incredible. Britney was in the studio in Beverly Hills last week with Elton for the super-secret recording session overseen by uber-producer Andrew Watt.

"They've already played it for people at their record label, and everybody is freaking out. It is so good. They are saying this is going to be the song of the summer."

Elton has seen big success this year with re-recorded duets of his past hits. He and Dua Lipa scored a hit with 'Cold, Cold Heart,' a mashup of his hits 'Rocket Man' and 'Sacrifice.'

'Tiny Dancer' was written by John and Bernie Taupin. It was originally released on John's 1971 album, Madman Across the Water, and then as a single in 1972.

It was ranked at number 47 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time in 2021.
