While they recently celebrated their one year wedding anniversary, it seems Prince Harry and Meghan Markle still can't escape the drama surrounding their relationship.

It has now been claimed Prince Philip warned Harry against tying the knot with the 37-year-old former actress by telling him: "One steps out with actresses, one doesn't marry them."

The Duke of Edinburgh, 98, is believed to have made the remark to his grandson when it became clear the couple's whirlwind romance was getting serious.

It has also been claimed his brother, Prince William, shared his own hestitations, asking Harry "are you sure?" shortly before the Duke of Sussex proposed in 2017.

Clearly, the 34-year-old royal ignored the advice and proposed, before exchanging vows with Meghan in May last year at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.

The new reports come after it was revealed that Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is to be christened in Windsor next month, in the same chapel where his parents were married.

Buckingham Palace has not commented on Philip's alleged quote.
